Another satisfied traveler recently wrote to the airport manager to express her gratitude for the exceptional customer service and attention she received on her last visit to the Ithaca Tompkins Regional Airport.
Frances Helmstadter of Ithaca came to the airport recently to resolve an issue she had with her frequent flyer miles. That's when she met Doris Welch who is a Customer Service Agent for US Airways in Ithaca. Frances indicated that Doris "picked up the challenge with professional skill and a calm manner." Doris spent a lengthy amount of time contacting the appropriate offices, making inquiries and explaining Frances' particular situation. In the end, Doris successfully restored Ms. Helmstadter's miles and confirmed her reservations.
Robert Nicholas, Airport Manager, presented Doris with a small token of appreciation for a job well done. Frances is now looking forward to traveling with friends as planned and feels "fortunate to have excellent service and attention from people like Doris."
