ITH Fire Chief and Deputy Director Josh Nalley Recognized by Tompkins County Legislature

Ithaca Tompkins International Airport is proud to recognize Fire Chief and Deputy Director Josh Nalley, who was recently honored by the Tompkins County Legislature for receiving the Lansing Fire Department’s 2025 Firefighter of the Year Award.

This recognition highlights not only Josh’s leadership at ITH, but also his longstanding dedication to public service and volunteer firefighting within our community. Throughout his career, Josh has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to safety, emergency preparedness, and service to others.

At ITH, Josh plays a vital role in overseeing airport operations and leading the Aircraft Rescue and Fire Fighting (ARFF) team, helping ensure the safety and security of passengers, staff, and visitors every day. Beyond his responsibilities at the airport, Josh has continued to serve the community through his volunteer work with the Lansing Fire Department.

Being named Firefighter of the Year is a well-deserved recognition of Josh’s professionalism, leadership, and dedication both on and off the airfield.
