Third daily flight between Ithaca and Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD) beginning March 5
Ithaca Tompkins International Airport (ITH) is pleased to announce that United Airlines will resume a third daily flight between Ithaca and Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD) beginning March 5.
The additional frequency strengthens connectivity between the Finger Lakes region and the Washington, DC area while expanding one-stop access to hundreds of domestic and international destinations through United’s Dulles hub. With three daily departures, travelers will benefit from increased scheduling flexibility for business, government, university, and leisure travel.
“This additional daily flight to Washington Dulles reflects strong demand for reliable connectivity from Ithaca,” said Roxan Noble, Director of Ithaca Tompkins International Airport. “Expanding access to a major hub like Dulles strengthens our region’s economic competitiveness and provides our community with greater access to national and international destinations.”
The expanded service is supported in part through the federal Small Community Air Service Development (SCASD) Grant program, which helps communities like Ithaca strengthen and sustain critical air service. The partnership between ITH, United Airlines, and local stakeholders continues to position the airport for long-term route success.
Washington Dulles is one of United’s largest hubs, providing convenient connections to the West Coast, major business centers, and international markets across Europe, Asia, and beyond.
Travelers are encouraged to book early and take advantage of the expanded schedule when planning upcoming trips.
