Twenty future guide dogs had an opportunity to practice going through a Transportation Security Administration checkpoint at Ithaca Tompkins Regional Airport (ITH) Monday night (April 16) so that they would be more familiar with the checkpoint screening process when they do need to catch a flight once they are paired with someone who is blind or sight impaired.

On Monday, April 16th, TSA officials are set to provide a checkpoint orientation session at Ithaca Tompkins Regional Airport (ITH) for 20 puppies who are being trained by Guiding Eyes for the Blind of the Finger Lakes Region to assist individuals with visual impairments.

We will be hosting a meeting of the Finger Lakes Chapter of Women in Aviation International (WAI) on Thursday, February 15, 2018 at 7:00 PM at the East Hill Flying Club, 62 Brown Road, Ithaca, NY.

We are so excited to to announce that the Ithaca Tompkins Regional Airport (ITH) is the winner of the Chamber Awards! ITH won the Distinguished Business of the Year, one category out of four that recognize our community’s business efforts and success. The award was presented in the Chamber’s Annual Dinner, held last Thursday, January 25th at Ithaca College Emerson Suites.

It’s the people that make the Ithaca Tompkins Regional Airport so charming – whether they are students or employees from Cornell University and Ithaca College, traveling in and out of Ithaca for work, or visiting the Finger Lakes region for vacation. That is why we are celebrating our people through the Jetsetters of ITH series on Instagram! Every Friday we feature new travelers we meet at the airport.

On December 15, we invited the Greater Ithaca Activity Center (GIAC) to Ithaca Tompkins Regional Airport (ITH) for a holiday celebration. Between 35 and 40 children ranging from four to seven years old attended the party at ITH where they were given gift bags and treats.

This year we held our second annual Customer Appreciation Event to get you to your holiday destination with a smile on your face and some new ITH swag. Learn about some of the customers that passed through the airport.

The days leading up to Thanksgiving are the busiest air travel dates in the US, with an estimated record of 28.5 million travelers expected to take to the skies this year. To alleviate some of the stress of holiday traveling and to thank the community that travels in and out of the Ithaca Airport, ITH is holding their second annual customer appreciation event from Monday, November 20th through Wednesday, November 22nd.

On Monday we celebrated the arrival of United Airlines jet service at Ithaca Tompkins Regional Airport (ITH). Since early October, United Airlines has been serving ITH with Embraer 145 jet aircraft (ERJ 145) as part of a service upgrade program. These fifty-seat jets have replaced the existing 37-seat turboprop planes to accommodate increased passenger demand at ITH. With the introduction of the ERJ 145s, ITH now has an all-jet service to each of its three hubs.

On Monday, October 30, we will host a promotional flight and ribbon cutting ceremony at the terminal with the Tompkins County Chamber of Commerce to celebrate the arrival of United Airlines jet service. The jet will arrive between 11:45 AM and 12:15 PM.
